COMPLETED WORK

9th Hole Remediation Works

$58,000 construction works were completed in May 2023. Control measures such as revegetation and removal of foreign material to minimise erosion and deterioration of the embankment batters.

MOU Golf Course Improvements

$8,300 for the original Grady Plans to be updated with surveys. This was a necessary step in being able to complete an accurate tender document for the construction of greens 5 & 7.

Golf Course Maintenance

Almost $20,000 on tree works, turf works and drainage upgrades across the course

Bowling Green – Major Renovation.

$35,000 complete renovation of our Bowling Green surface. The quality of our Bowling Green was significantly improved with the first full renovation in over a decade. The new Wyong Couch Green has been extremely well received by our bowlers.

Solar Panel Buy Out

Remaining $500,000 was paid to buy out existing solar panel contract. This will enable us to reduce our energy consumption from grid supply and lower our carbon emissions.

New Internal Advertising Screens

$120,000 upgrade to internal advertising screens. The improvement to these screens has improved the customer experience and increased awareness for club activities and events.

Outdoor Gaming Heating

$20,000 was spent on brand new outdoor heaters for our outdoor gaming area, as well as $6,000 upgrading the wind and weather louvers. Completed in May.

HVAC Replacement and Repairs

Over $30,000 spent on repairing and replacing air conditioning throughout different areas of Breakers Country Club to ensure comfortability for Members, Visitors and Staff as well as being able to continue being a place of refuge for those in the community with no access to air conditioning.

Upgrade to the 2nd Tee Safety Fence

$9,000 upgrade to extend the safety fence between the 2nd and 3rd tee boxes to increase customer safety.

Breakers Pro Shop Refurbishment

In addition to the MOU, $240,000 is being spent to refurbish the current Breakers Pro Shop. This will improve the facilities, amenities, improve customer journey and overall experience for all members using our golf facilities.

MOU Golf Course Improvements

$300,000 has been committed for reconstruction of the 5th and 7th greens on our golf course. Works on these greens are anticipated to commence November 2023. In addition to these works, we are upgrading our nursery green to increase the size and introduce a new grass type so it is compatible with all of our new greens.

Purchase of new Mower Equipment

The Golf course is set to receive a major asset replacement in the coming months for a new Tee mower to the value of $90,000.

CURRENT PLANNING

Master Planning for Breakers

We have committed $450,000 to initiate Phase 1 of the master planning process for development plans that will benefit our members and the local community. We anticipate completion of Phase 1 planning within 6 months.

Installation of Major Fun

Planning towards construction of Major Fun at Breakers. The installation of a Major Fun at Breakers will be incredible for family and kids entertainment and offerings in the local area. A Major Fun would benefit for all of our Members with children or grandchildren who are looking for a family orientated venue to enjoy.

Sports Lounge Soft Refurbishment

Planning for a soft refurbishment to our Sports lounge. This would include new big screens, new furniture and make us a premier venue for our sports and racing offering.
